Tulsa fires football coach Kevin Wilson amid 3-8 season: Source

Tulsa has fired head coach Kevin Wilson, a school source said Sunday, one day after a 63-30 loss to USF to drop to 3-8 this season.

Wilson went 7-16 in two seasons, including a 4-8 record last year. The Golden Hurricane went 3-12 in AAC play under Wilson, who was previously the offensive coordinator at Ohio State.

This is the sixth coaching change in the AAC, joining Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Rice and Temple. Three of those schools fired their coach before the end of his second season.
