This collaboration integrates Skin Health Alliance’s trusted dermatological accreditation into the Clear platform, offering users an additional layer of assurance when making skin care decisions.

We spoke to Eleanor Lloyd, Communications Manager at Skin Health Alliance (SHA), who explained that the Clear partnership was driven by a mutual goal of helping consumers navigate an increasingly complex skin care market. “With an overwhelming number of products on the market, consumers often struggle to determine which are truly safe and effective,” Lloyd shared.

Through this integration, Clear users can now easily identify SHA-accredited products on the platform “at a glance, thanks to the Skin Health Alliance logo displayed directly on product listings,” said Lloyd.

Functionality is also simple, she added: “By tapping on the logo, consumers can learn more about the accreditation process and what it means for their skin.” She confirmed that interested users can also follow a link to the SHA website for more details.

To receive SHA accreditation, products must undergo an extensive review by an independent panel of dermatologists, which “involves an in-depth and comprehensive scientific review to analyze ingredients, an assessment of clinical trial data, and scientific proof of the product’s effectiveness claims,” Lloyd shared.

This feature complements Clear’s existing resources, which include peer reviews and expert insights, reinforcing skin care consumer confidence in making “informed choices based on independent scientific validation, rather than marketing claims alone,” she stated.

Shaping consumer purchasing decisions

The partnership is expected to impact how consumers approach their skin care purchases. “Consumers are increasingly looking for science-backed reassurance before committing to products, and this partnership provides exactly that,” Lloyd said. “By giving consumers access to accredited products’ scientific validation, Clear helps users to prioritize safety and effectiveness.”
