Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said the Biden administration is “paralyzed by fear” of Iran as attacks continue in the Middle East.

Graham joined CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday to discuss the recent Israeli strikes on Iranian-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

Top officials in the group were killed by the Israel Defense Forces over the weekend and the group plans to retaliate. He argued if former President Trump were to win the election, the conflict would not be escalating as fears of an all-out war continue.

“The Biden administration is paralyzed by fear of Iran in the name of escalating. The world is on fire,” Graham said. “So, I promise you, if Trump does win [the election], we’re going to fix this pretty quick.”

On Saturday, after the Israeli strike killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, President Biden released a statement saying his death was a “measure of justice for his many victims.”

Graham pointed to the upcoming presidential election and argued the Biden administration, which includes Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Harris, “doesn’t have a clue” how to handle rising global tensions.

“They’re paralyzed by fear when it comes to Iran,” he reiterated.

National security spokesperson John Kirby said earlier in the segment that the U.S. will be looking to see how Hezbollah rebuilds and will continue to push for a cease-fire.
