The NFL releases 2025 schedules for all 32 teams at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Here is what we know about the Detroit Lions’ schedule so far.
Detroit’s first-place schedule matches up against division winners from the AFC West (Kansas City), NFC South (Tampa Bay) and NFC West (Los Angeles Rams), meaning yet another date against Matthew Stafford is on tap.
The Lions also meet all four teams from the NFC East and AFC North divisions next season.
Here is the lineup of the Lions’ home and road opponents, listed alphabetically.

The Lions enjoyed a whirlwind 2024 season at 15-2, but the dream of a Super Bowl appearance has to wait another year. They fell to the Washington Commanders in the divisional round. The Lions get a chance to even the score at Washington during the 2025 regular season. Also, while only a preseason game, the Lions unofficially kick off 2025 in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game against the Los Angeles Chargers at 8 p.m. ET on July 31, on NBC and Peacock.
Count the Lions as another team with a tough slate ahead, considering opponents’ 2024 combined winning percentage (.571, tied for second in the NFL). Playing in the NFC North makes things even tougher. The division was arguably the league’s best in 2024. Nonetheless, Detroit has reloaded this offseason and expects to be among the league’s best teams again in 2025.
Come back Wednesday night for the Lions’ week-to-week schedule, season analysis and predictions.
