LAS VEGAS — Charles Leclerc takes pole position for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Sergio Pérez and Lewis Hamilton were knocked out of Q2 while neither McLaren escaped Q1.
  • For the first time since the Italian Grand Prix, Logan Sargeant advanced to Q3 and qualified right behind his Williams teammate, Alex Albon.
  • Reminder: Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll both face grid drops for Sunday’s grand prix, 10 places for the Ferrari driver and five places for the Aston Martin driver.
