Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain took convincing leads into their second legs last night, against Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa respectively. But those two teams didn’t have it all their way as they travelled away from home.
Barcelona, leading 4-0 from the first leg, had that lead cut in half by Serhou Guirassy before going on to restore a three-goal lead to see them through.
Meanwhile, PSG added to their two-goal lead twice at Villa Park but started to wobble as Aston Villa scored three times to move within a goal of the deficit. Ultimately though, the Parisians held on for a nail-biting victory and they will face either Arsenal or Real Madrid in the semi-final.
Barcelona will face either Inter or Bayern Munich in the last four.
